  What is Your Favorite WT Lie?

  i would like to start a thread on lies that the watchtower and their reps have told.

  surely we all have one or two that truly sticks out in our memories, no matter how much we would like to forget.

  my favorite wt lie: the reason they don't want to release the name of the "scholars" who worked on the new world translation is because they do not want to accept "glory and honor" from others.

  this is just a quick summary that might be useful regarding the threads about the trinity currently on the board.. in 325 ce, the nicene council was called by constantine to settle schisms within the christian church.

  the argument about the nature of jesus in relation to god was one of the big problems that needed resolution.

  at first, constantine told the 2 main players, alexander and arius to sort it out between themselves, as he, constantine didnt see it as overly important.

  It is amusing to watch heretics imagine they are orthodox.

  There is simply no debate on this. Just google "early church fathers of the deity of Jesus" and read what the first and second generation leaders taught.
  
  That should end the disdusion. But, for people who wont believe the bible, certainly anyone else will be equally ignored.

  Early Christian leaders wrote thousands of pages in letters to one another combatting heretics. Most of these works survive. If you look at the writings of first disciples that the apostles trained and their disciples, it is easy to figure out.

  I personally don't think there is such a thing as orthodox Jews today in the original sense of the word. Back in the day, the Essenes were the orthodox Jews, the Saducees were the secularists and the Pharisees were the professional religionists that held their elders meetings to determine how to interpret scripture. Dr. Ken Johnson has translated a lot of the dead sea scrolls, and his work really opens the door to what was going on in the Jewish community before and after the time of Christ.

  The past president of the Flat Earth Society was an evolutionist. I'm sure it was just a coincidence.

  Yes, biological material is regularly found in fossils no matter if they are supposedly 100,000 years or supposedly 300,000,000 years old.

  That is why dinosaur soft tissue is regularly observed and carbon dated at only a few thousand years old. It is also why dinosaur bones smell just like rotting cadavers. But, this topic isn't about results of carbon dating dinosaur biological material.

  It is about looking at the empirical evidence of genetics.

  Like the Largest Genetic DNA Study ever done on evolution in 2018 published by the journal: Human Evolution found that there was no intergenetic relationship between species and that all animal and human life arose around the same time.

  And like the Longest Genetic study on evolution (nearly 40 years) looking at E.coli by Dr. Richard Linsk. After 75,000 generations, which equates to millions of years for other organisms; it proved micro evolution, not macro evolution.

  i am non political and have never voted but nonetheless i have been keenly watching to see how the trump presidential race unfolds.

  i believe that his involvement in propelling or influencing a leaning toward bible prophecy will unfold.

  how, i can’t say but something tells me that this anomaly and outlier being trump is highly signifiant!
